What HE Said

Ed Driscoll:

Barack Obama’s victory should once and for all finally break the notion that race is a barrier to any goal in the United States. And those who’ve built their power from anger and racial divisiveness, like Ayers, the Panthers, and Reverend Wright should now be mocked like the small men they are. It will be up to Obama as president to transcend the figures of his past–and it’s up to the rest of us as a nation to finally put them into the rearview mirror.

Just so.

I’ll completely believe it when we see who gets invited to the inaugural balls/festivities. I want so badly for “should now be mocked like the small men they are” to be SO.

    Should.

    Won’t.

Since my time as a youngling, reading Ayn Rand, I’ve gradually learned to differentiate between Is and Ought. Simply because reality dictates something ought to be one way does not mean it is or will be that way.

Thus results the peril of being Human. I continue to hope that Reason will triumph over discord. This also, is the peril of being Human.

As long as the Democrats need 90% of the black vote, the issue won’t be allowed to die. Without a hugh margin among African Americans, the Democrats become an asterisk in American politics. They will do anything to keep racial tension bubbling. With the lapdog media firmly in their corner the Democrats will blame everything from potholes to hurricanes on racism.

So long as African Americans buy this crap, the Democrats will keep selling it. The Democrats need the myth of a deep seated nationwide racism. They would rather that the cities burn than the myth be dispelled.
